Sennebogen announce the appointment of a new dealer for the waste and timber industries in the UK. Molson Group is taking over from E.H. Hassell & Sons, who will focus solely on their core competences in port and scrap metal markets and harbour cranes.

Over the past decades Sennebogen´s approach has always been to develop material handlers for the relevant specialist industries. This approach has led to an ever increasing growing number of models purpose built for the various industries, scrap metal, ports, waste and timber.

GAP shows no signs of slowing down with new batch of telehandlers

GAP Hire Solutions is continuing its heavy investment in new equipment by purchasing over 100 new telehandlers in a deal that’s worth in excess of £4.5m.

The deal, in conjunction with JCB and Manitou, will extend GAP’s fleet offering of plant hire equipment, offering telescopic handlers from 4m to 18m. It comes in response to increasing demand from customers. The telehandlers will be supplied by JCB Scot and various Manitou dealers throughout the UK.

A-Plant has bolstered its already modern hire fleet of plant equipment by investing in 400 new machines manufactured by Terex, Bobcat and Thwaites.

An order worth £1 million has been placed with Terex for the supply of Hydraulic Breakers, Roller Breakers and Trailers. All manufactured at Terex’s facility in Coventry, the new machines have already been delivered to A-Plant Service Centres throughout the UK.

Powered access hire company, Star Platforms, is reacting to the UK's continued economic recovery and strong customer demand by opening a new depot in Kent.

It is Star Platforms' second depot since launching near Luton, Bedfordshire in October 2014 and creates, initially, four new jobs in the area.

The new hire depot in Borough Green, near Sevenoaks, is ideally placed to serve construction and facilities management clients, among others, in London and the Home Counties, including Kent, Essex, Sussex and Surrey.

Costain JV Awarded A 605 Million Pound Thames Tideway Tunnel Contract

Costain, the engineering solutions provider, announces that it has been awarded the £605 million contract for the East works package of the Thames Tideway Tunnel in London in Joint Venture (‘JV’) with VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Bachy Soletanche Ltd.

The Thames Tideway Tunnel is a major new sewer, urgently needed to protect the tidal River Thames from pollution and to modernise London’s Victorian sewerage network for the 21st century, underpinning and enhancing economic prosperity. It is a large complex programme which addresses an urgent need to help ensure London is provided with a safe and environmentally sustainable water infrastructure.
