PLANTWORX announces plans for exhibitor open day

The announcement by the CEA of promoting a UK trade event to fill the hole left by SED closure has been met enthusiastically across the UK. Following the successful launch announcement of the CEA’s (Construction Equipment Association) PLANTWORX, the new biennial working construction exhibition, scheduled for May 2013 at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire – the PLANTWORX team has announced its plans for a dedicated ‘Exhibitor Open Day’ on 25th May 2011 at Stoneleigh Park from 10.30am.

Potential exhibitors, and companies who have already expressed an interest, will be invited along to see the evolution of what will be the UK’s leading construction event and the number one destination for the construction industry’s professionals.

Attendees will meet the PLANTWORX team, see and experience the PLANTWORX vision, which will include the sites planned layout, the vast digging demonstration areas available, stand costs and rates. Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk to show partners, PLANTWORX contractors and other key construction experts who support this much anticipated event.

An on-site visit has also been organised for would be exhibitors to ‘walk the grid’ of the 80,000 sqm of the new show.

Other guests attending the open day will be representatives of some of the leading companies who have already pledged their allegiance to the forthcoming event. Amongst the companies who have offered their commitment to the 2013 event include Volvo Construction, JCB, Ammann, Case and New Holland Construction, Hyundai, Bomag, Hanix, Takeuchi, Thwaites, Merlo and Manitou.

Construction Minister, Mark Prisk, has also pledged his support – here is what he had to say about the forthcoming event:

“I am very pleased that the Construction Equipment Association has announced plans for a new trade show. Support for PLANTWORX from across the sector is a clear signal that the sector is backing this new event in 2013.
“The UK’s construction equipment industry is a key element of this country’s engineering capability that’s worth £8.5 billion to our economy. PLANTWORX will be a good opportunity to showcase the sector’s capabilities and demonstrate its new and innovative products.”

PLANTWORX aims are to fulfil the construction industry demands for a focused plant and equipment show. In addition leading manufacturers have been closely consulted to ensure that the event will meet the needs of suppliers as well as the requirements of its target audience involved in buying, specifying and operating construction equipment. The exhibition will be a show ‘For the Industry by the Industry’.
