GT Access Takes UK’s First 15 m Hinowa Booms

GT Access has added the first new 15 m Hinowa tracked booms in the UK to its growing hire fleet.

The leading independent powered access specialist is the first British owner of Hinowa Lightlift 15.70s, which are replacing some older Hinowa 14m tracked booms. The machines were supplied by APS, the exclusive UK distributor for Hinowa machines.

GT Access now offers 15 m, 17 m, 20 m and 26 m Hinowa crawler-mounted access platforms, in order to meet growing demand from a wide range of clients. Customers include painters and decorators, atrium workers, contract cleaners and construction firms, as well as tree surgeons.

UK rental specialist A-Plant has acquired Lion Trackhire for a total consideration of £38m and will merge the business with Eve, which it bought three years ago.

From 1st January 2017, Lion and Eve, 90,000 panels and 400 experts between them, will be rebranded Live, two letters from each company reflecting a ‘responsive’, ‘immediate’, ‘switched on’ mantra. Dale Robinson, who left Eve to found and run first TPA then Lion, will manage the business.
