Earthline invest in Bell wheeled loaders to increase productivity in quarry application Today, plant operators and fleet managers are having to face ever increasing challenges. The latest being to ensure that the correct grade diesel is used in the machines - the wrong fuel grade could prove very costly. And, whereas in the past, little thought was given to the cost of fuel, today it is a serious considerations. So the demand is for more efficiency, more productivity, increased reliability and lower cost of ownership. One company, Wiltshire-based Earthline, recently evaluated replacement wheel loaders and decided on Bell. Since its foundation 30 years ago, the company has grown to be one of the largest independent earthmoving, recycling and quarrying companies in the south of England. Long overdue as a tribute to a great British engineer, the ‘Story of JCB’ exhibition is also a very powerful selling tool for customers. |
Crossrail contributes to Europe’s largest conservation scheme Work is now underway at Wallasea Island in Essex to prepare for the arrival of excavated material from Crossrail tunnels next year. Crossrail has begun constructing a new jetty where ships will offload material for the nature reserve.
For most practical purposes, a rectangular excavation is the easiest and most cost-effective solution when carrying out construction work below ground. It is easy to dig and supporting the sides is straightforward.
